The history of the African National Congress in Exile, 1960-1990

Twenty years ago, Stephen Ellis was coauthor of a book entitled Comrades Against Apartheid: The ANC and the South African Communist Party in Exile (James Currey etc., London, etc., 1992).  This time working on his own, Stephen Ellis is rewriting this study, now using the many archives that have become available in the interim period, including notably the archives of the ANC itself.
