Anthony Biwott
Anthony Kipkoech Biwott is currently pursuing a PhD in Kiswahili at Moi University, Kenya, in the department of Kiswahili and Other African Languages. At the moment, he is researching on Narration and Performance in Nandi Wedding Songs. He holds a Master of Arts in Kiswahili and a Bachelor of Arts with Education degree (BAE), from Moi University. He worked as a high school teacher in Kenyan schools since 2013. In 2017 he began his career at a lecturer at University of Eldoret, where he taught Kiswahili Literature and Linguistics. In 2023, Biwott joined the Independent Policing and Oversight Authority (IPOA) as a Senior Monitoring Officer. He is currently working as a Principal Monitoring Officer. Biwott's research interest is in African languages, culture, and security, with special focus in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Egypt, DRC, South Africa, and Nigeria.
