Antony Stephen Kamsu

Dr. Antony Stephen Kamsu is a Cameroonian scholar and recognized expert in African development issues, with a strong focus on both continental and international dynamics. His interdisciplinary research and consultancy work cover critical areas including international investment, good governance, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, environmental policy, decentralization, peacebuilding, human rights, as well as mining and energy policy.

His academic background includes a Master's thesis on “Relations between Morocco and the African Union in Light of the Recognition of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR),” and a doctoral dissertation focused on “Bilateral Investment Treaties Concluded Between African States.” These works reflect his deep engagement with African geopolitical and legal challenges in the global arena.

Dr. Kamsu is affiliated with the Centre d’Analyse et de Prospectives pour les Afriques (CAP-AFRIQUE) and the Centre Africain de Recherche sur les Politiques Énergétiques et Minières (CARPEM), where he contributes to policy research and strategic foresight related to energy, governance, and development across the continent. Alongside his research, Dr. Kamsu is also a university lecturer and an experienced legal consultant. He is deeply committed to advancing sustainable and inclusive growth in Africa. Through his academic, professional, and advisory roles, he works to empower communities and contribute to the development of resilient, forward-looking governance and policy frameworks.
