Artemis Mantheakis

With a BSc. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from Utrecht University, and a Research MA in African Studies from Leiden University, Artemis is now pursuing an MSc. in Political Economy at the University of Amsterdam. In the meantime, she is interested in pursuing a PhD (preferably at the ASCL) in the fields of political economy and political science, with critical expertise in mining, corruption, global financial and trade governance, democracy, as well as the study of gender, poverty and informality. As a fourth-generation Greek Tanzanian, her passion lies in researching Tanzanian political economies; however, she also has experience with various Western, Eastern, and Southern African countries such as Ghana, Kenya, and Mozambique.
