Bram Posthumus
Bram Posthumus (Amsterdam, 1959) is an independent press, radio and online journalist with 30 years of experience working and living in West and Southern Africa. Having lived in Dakar, Ouagadougou and Bamako, he is currently between The Hague (Netherlands) and Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire). He reports on political, economic and cultural events mostly in Francophone and Lusophone West Africa with occasional forays into other parts of the continent. His work can be found at (among others) Deutsche Welle, Voice of America, The Economist Group, Al Jazeera, Private Eye, Songlines, Mixedworldmusic.com, Vice Versa and others. His book 'Guinea – Masks, Music and Minerals', a comprehensive look at the politics, economy and music of Guinea in the past 150 years, was published by Hurst & Co in London and received praise in (among others) the Times Literary Supplement.
