ChiChi Nwosu
ChiChi Nwosu obtained the Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Honours degree in 1984 from the Univeristy of Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She successfully undertook the professional legal training and certification programme at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos from 1984 to 1985 and was awarded the Barrister at Law (B.L) Honours degree in 1985. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, in August 1985.
Following some years of practice as a Legal Practitioner (1986 to 1989), she successfully undertook a Master of Laws (LL.M) programme at the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1990. Subsequently, she followed a successful career with Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited and with Shell International Renewables BV, the Netherlands. Ms Nwosu had the opportunity to teach the Law of Obligations at De Haagse Hogeschool (The Hague University for Professional Education). She was also a visiting researcher at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Development (2011). Ms Nwosu obtained a Master in Business Administration (Global Energy Industry) degree from the Warwick Business School, United Kingdom (2014) and a Master of Laws (LLM) Energy and Natural Resources Law Specialisation, from the Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom.
Currently, she engages in legal/contracting, commercial and compliance consultancy, and academic research, focused on the Energy Industry – Oil, Gas, and Renewables. Ms Nwosu is certified as a Mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), United Kingdom (2015), and Qualified by the Africa Centre for Dispute Settlement (ACDS) for company-community mediation in complex environments (2016).
