Chukwuemeka Oko-Otu

Oko-Otu Chukwuemeka is a PhD student in the Department of Modern War Studies at the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. He holds a Master’s degree with distinction in Conflict Analysis from the prestigious University of Kent and a first-class degree in History and Strategic Studies from Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo. He is a Commonwealth scholar with over 10 publications on aspects of African history and politics from pre-colonial, colonial and postcolonial periods. His research interests include, but are not limited to, land related conflicts, farmer-herders conflict, police brutality, community policing, and peace and conflict resolution. He is the editor of the Igbo Studies Newsletter a publication of the Igbo Studies Association, Dominican University, Chicago, USA.
