Femi Owolade

Femi Owolade is a legal historian and Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He holds a PhD in Legal History, and an MA in Medical Ethics and Law, both from King’s College London. His main research interests include legal pluralism, colonial history, and higher education policy. He has held teaching and research positions at the University of Leeds, SOAS University of London, and Sheffield Hallam University. He is the author of Legal Pluralism as a Colonial Project in Africa: Law, Colonial Domination and Resistance in Northern Nigeria (Routledge, 2026).
