Hugues Edik

Hugues Edik is a doctoral student in STAPS (Faculty of Sports Science) at the University of Artois and in Political History and International Relations at the University of Yaoundé 1, Cameroon. He is doing his doctoral thesis as part of an international joint supervision. His areas of research focus on the study of international migration, diasporas, sports mobility, African history and, globally, international relations. His work consists of questioning the push factors in the countries of departure and the attractive factors that push African sportsmen in general and Cameroonians in particular to flee during competitions in the West, while examining the migratory networks involved, from conception from the project to its completion.
