Larissa Schulte Nordholt
I am a first-year PhD-student at the Institute for History in Leiden under supervision of Prof.Dr. Herman Paul. My work concerns the historiography of UNESCO's General History of Africa / Histoire générale de l'Afrique (1964-1999). I am specifically interested in debates concerning the nature of scholarship, the identity of the 'African' scholar and the place of 'Europe' within African historiography in general and the UNESCO history series in specific.
