Marc Wilke

Marc Wilke is a graduate of the University of Paris, France, and the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium, where he earned an Honours MA in Modern Diplomatic History and Political Science and an MA in European Public Administration. His early career included roles as a Research Assistant at Chatham House, London, and Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), Brussels. His research focused on European decision-making, policy effectiveness, and EU relations with Central European states during the accession process.

Marc’s professional journey includes serving as a Task Manager for EU assistance to the former Soviet Union at the European Commission in Brussels. He has conducted extensive fieldwork as an EU International Monitor of reconstruction in the Western Balkans and as an evaluator of development policy and multi-donor initiatives in Eastern, Western, and Southern Africa.

Additionally, Marc has participated as an International Observer in EU Election Observation Missions for presidential elections in Ghana and Tanzania. He has held key leadership roles, including Acting Director for Results at a multi-donor platform supporting Eastern African regional integration in Nairobi, Kenya, and M&E Key Expert with the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB).
