Marlene van Doorn is a retired information specialist with more than thirty years work experience in the library of the African Studies Centre Leiden. She had a specific expertise in abstracting (African Studies Abstracts Online), subject indexing and thesaurus construction and maintenance (African Studies Thesaurus).
