Mirjam Tjassing

Mirjam Tjassing is the author of 'Mali, een kaartenhuis. Getuigenis van een crisis', a book about the crisis in Mali written from the perspective of her (former) position as a diplomat at the Netherlands Embassy in Mali. There is also a French version of this book, with the title 'Mali, Chateau de cartes. Témoignage d’ une crise'. During her diplomatic career of 17 years, Mirjam Tjassing was also posted in Tanzania and Burkina Faso. She temporarily left the Ministry for three years, when she was the country representative for the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) in Mali. She has now returned to the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
