Samuel Tawiah Baidoo
Dr. Samuel Tawiah Baidoo is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Economics at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, where he teaches, supervises, and mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students. He also serves as a Research Fellow at INTI International University in Malaysia. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Dr. Baidoo benefited from study grant from the Volkswagen Foundation for his PhD studies.
His research focuses on African economies, with interests spanning International Trade and Finance, Economic Globalization, Macroeconomics, Financial Inclusion, Financial Literacy, and Savings Mobilization. His scholarly work has appeared in reputable peer-reviewed journals published by leading publishers such as Wiley, Elsevier, Emerald, Taylor & Francis, Sage, and Springer Nature, as well as in international conference proceedings.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Baidoo is an Associate Editor for Economic Studies (Estudios Económicos) and serves on the Editorial Board of SN Business & Economics (Springer Nature) and the Journal of Social Science and Policy (Faculty of Social Sciences, KNUST). He also reviews for journals including Economics of Transition and Institutional Change, Research in Globalization, Review of Economics and Political Science, Social Science Quarterly, and Foreign Trade Review. Dr. Baidoo maintains an active online presence through platforms such as ResearchGate, Google Scholar, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter), where he engages with the academic community and policymakers and shares insights related to his research.
