Seun Bamidele
Seun Bamidele holds two doctoral degrees, first in Peace and Security Studies (Nigeria) and second in Development Studies (South Africa). He is a lecturer at the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria and teaches various courses, including Security, Conflict and Development Studies. His research interests are multidisciplinary, covering African affairs, politics and governance, political crisis management, peace and conflict studies, forced migration, internal displacement, coping and survival strategies of women refugees, development studies, and environmental politics. He facilitates peacebuilding programmes in several African countries.
He held scholarships in institutions such as Gerda Henkel Stiftung, Germany; Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa Programme, Social Science Research Council and Carnegie Corporation of New York; CODESRIA College of Academic Mentors Institute, Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Dakar, Senegal and Carnegie Corporation of New York, USA; Women in International Security (WIIS), Washington, USA; and Equator Peace Academy, Uganda Martyrs University, Uganda.
