Stijn Kuipers

Stijn Kuipers works as a diplomat at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he is the focal point for cultural diplomacy with Africa and the Middle-East. He holds a MPhil in Development Studies (Development Economics and International Development) from the University of Cambridge, and various degrees from King's College London, Leiden University and Radboud University.

His research interests are on industrial strategy, radicalisation and the effects of (good) governance and corruption on economic growth, with a geographic focus on Malawi, Tunisia and Egypt. Before joining the Foreign Service, Stijn worked as an industrial economist at the Dutch Ministry of Economics and Climate Policy.
