Victor Udemezue Onyebueke
Prof. Victor Udemezue Onyebueke is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (Nigeria), where he is involved in teaching, research and consultancy. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Land Policy & Implementation at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (now IHS-Erasmus University) in Rotterdam, Netherlands (June, 2006) and a PhD in Geography and Environmental Science from the Stellenbosch University, Matieland, South Africa (December, 2013).
His research interests span the subject matters of globalisation, urban land use dynamics, urban informality and inclusive planning. Of recent, he is engaged as an uptake participant in the Public Health Research Group (PHRG) of the University of Nigeria with particular interest in healthy city programmes and the role of urban planning in infectious diseases prevention. This research group, PHRG, is a key partner in the Community-led Responsive and Effective Urban Health Systems (CHORUS) Research Project coordinated by the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Leeds, UK.
Prof. Onyebueke is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Housing and the Built Environment, and is equally in the Editorial Boards of the Arkitekturax Visión FUA, University of the Americas, Bogotá, Colombia and the Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs, Alanya HEP University, Turkey.
