Katrien Polman

Katrien PolmanKatrien Polman is a retired information specialist who focused on facilitating access to African Studies resources and meeting the information needs of ASCL library users. She selected, catalogued, indexed, and abstracted publications, including articles from periodicals, for the library's online catalogue and the abstracts journal, African Studies Abstracts Online.

Her specific tasks included the evaluation and selection of digital resources for the web service Connecting Africa and the development and maintenance of the African Studies Thesaurus. She was also the editor of the library's Web Dossiers.
