ASCL Library in times of COVID-19: reservation compulsory
- The Library of the African Studies Centre of Leiden University is open for visitors - reservation compulsory by e-mail at asclibrary@asc.leidenuniv.nl.
- Studying in the ASCL Library is possible during time slots of maximum 3 hours, either from 10:00 to 13:00 or from 14:00 to 17:00. Requests to visit the library will be confirmed by e-mail. This e-mail will be checked upon arrival. Please remember that face masks are mandatory when you enter, leave and move around in the building. Around Easter the ASC Library will be closed from Friday 2 April up to and including Monday 5 April 2021.
- During each time slot there will be 8 study places available in the ASCL Library.
- The possibility to request books will be maintained. Request the items via https://catalogue.leidenuniv.nl. Choose one of five locations in Leiden or The Hague (ASCL, FSW, UBL, van Steenis, Wijnhaven). At pick up-location ASCL the books can be picked up from the desk during the above time slots. At the other locations the books can be picked up from the lockers. Other locations' opening hours are listed here: http://edu.nl/rp4hw.
- Visitors to the ASCL Library are requested to observe the regular hygienic measures and observe a minimum distance of 1.5 meters to other users at all times. Walking directions in the library are marked by yellow arrows.
