DigiDogon - Digitizing Dogon heritage: project update

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dutch Research Council NWO has offered its running projects the option to reschedule the remaining part of the projects, both in time and in budget. For the research project DigiDogon - Digitizing Dogon heritage: The legacy of Abirè, the Dogon prophet, already confronted with security problems in Mali, the ASCL takes the opportunity to do so, in concordance with its British partner University College London. Since ample leeway is offered in rebutgeting the remaining resources, the project aims at a new timeline and a new budget in the next month.
With Turin University, Leiden has signed a 'cotutelle' agreement on behalf of the PhD project of Ibrahima Poudiougou, the PhD affiliate within the project. The DigiDogon team wants to thank Maaike Westra for her invaluable contribution to this rather laborious process.
