Executive Board visits the African Studies Centre

On 22 September, the Executive Board of Leiden University paid a visit to the African Studies Centre Leiden, during which staff from the ASCL and the African Library presented their research, teaching, societal and acquisition activities. The visit offered an opportunity to show what is happening at an interfaculty institute, and was a true testament to the work that is conducted at this centre.

Rector Magnificus Hester Bijl was impressed by the many interdisciplinary examples shared during the visit, and by how the ASCL fosters collaboration both within and beyond Leiden University.
