Interview with Miriam Siun, initiator of the seminar 'Where is the African in "African" Studies?'
Miriam Siun, student of the Research Master African Studies and initiator of the seminar 'Where is the African in "African" Studies?' (31 May), was interviewed by the Faculty of Humanities. From the moment she started her studies, she noticed the lack of African scholars in the field. 'This is not specific to Leiden', she says, 'it is the case in a lot of places.
