Jan-Bart Gewald and Leonor Faber-Jonker interviewed by RFI about the genocide on Herero and Nama in Namibia (French)
ASCL senior researcher Prof. Jan-Bart Gewald and Leiden University research assistant Leonor Faber-Jonker (member of the ASCL Community) were interviewed by Radio France International on the occasion of the exposition in Paris about the genocide on Herero and Nama in Namibia at the start of the 20th century. Prof. Gewald and Ms Jonker are scientific curators of the exhibition.

Leonor Faber-Jonker's MA thesis 'More than just an object': a material analysis of the return and retention of Namibian skulls from Germany received special mention from the jury of the Africa Thesis Award 2016. Faber graduated cum laude in the Research Master in Modern History at Utrecht University.
