Mirjam de Bruijn in NPO1's Bureau Buitenland on the Sahel region

Mirjam de Bruijn from the African Studies Centre Leiden recently visited the Sahel region, where extremist violence claims more lives than anywhere else. On NPO1's Bureau Buitenland she talks about her observations how social media plays a crucial role in the radicalization of rural youth. Her research sheds light on how terror groups use online platforms and the growing influence of Russia in the region.
