Pictures of the ASC Annual Public Event 2014

The ASC Annual Public Event 2014, a performance by poet Phillippa Yaa de Villiers from South Africa, was a big success. The event took place on Monday 8 December in the Hogeschool Leiden. De Villiers performed Shades, a meditation on belonging and exile told through the nature of Johannesburg and five human characters.

After her show De Villiers was bestowed with the title of 'ASC honorary artist', an exclusive type of membership of the ASC Community. At the drinks party afterwards, the ASC book 'Digging Deeper: Inside Africa’s Agricultural, Food and Nutrition Dynamics' was launched and several of the honorary members of the ASC Community received this new book.
