Minor African Dynamics
This multidisciplinary minor fosters a deeper understanding of integrated and sustainable approaches in Africa, with an emphasis on how Africans themselves view their continent and the world. Separate modules offered by leading Africanists build on the goals set in the African Union Agenda 2063 and the 2030 United Nations Agenda. Depicting the continent from different perspectives, students are exposed to expertise in diverse fields and combine their knowledge in exploring the challenges and opportunities that the continent presents. More information on the course programme and application procedure can be found in Leiden University's e-prospectus.

Frugal Innovation for Sustainable Global Development
Frugal innovation centres on the (re)design of products, services and systems to decrease price and production costs without compromising on utility and ease of use. The 'Frugal Innovation' minor offers an in-depth insight into how and under which conditions frugal innovations can be accomplished and contribute to sustainable global development. As frugal innovation demands an interdisciplinary approach, this minor combines the unique knowledge and expertise of lecturers and students from the universities of Leiden, Delft and Rotterdam. More information on the course programme and application procedure can be found in Leiden University's e-prospectus.
