Report of Roel Coutinho's book on Guinea Bissau in Indies Tijdschrift

The book 'De vrijheidsstrijd van Guinee-Bissau door de ogen van een jonge dokter, Roel Coutinho' was reported in the magazine Indies Tijdschrift (authored by MA African Studies alumnus Joris Martens). The report describes how Roel Coutinho worked as a medical doctor in Guinea Bissau, witnessing the rise of president Amílcar Cabral. "The power of Coutinho's report (...) is in the sober description of the daily practice of the armed conflict".
