Rijk van Dijk interviewed by Nederlands Dagblad about the growth of religion in Africa
Rijk van Dijk, Professor of Religion in Africa, was interviewed by Nederlands Dagblad about the growth of religion in Africa, in contrast to all other parts of the world. According to Prof. Van Dijk, this growth can be explained by the measure of exposure of Pentecostal churches in Africa. Religion is also on the increase due to the growing influence of the political Islam, and the emergence of new forms of religion, e.g. Chrislam, an assamblage of Christian and Islamic religious practices.
