Social Protection in Africa

In June 2012 the Netherlands Minister for European Affairs and International Cooperation launched five Knowledge Platforms to support Dutch development cooperation, one for each of the four focal points of Dutch development cooperation - water, food security, security and rule of law, and sexual and reproductive health and rights - and an overarching development policy Platform which will look at ways in which economic growth in Africa can be made more inclusive and more sustainable, with a particular focus on youth employment and social protection. Against this background, the Library of the African Studies Centre Leiden has compiled the present web dossier.
