Tycho van der Hoog in Historisch Nieuwsblad on North Korean influence in state art in Southern Africa

North Korea is leaving a visible mark on Southern Africa through its construction of huge bronze statues, marble reliefs, and monuments, which can be found in various countries like Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Congo, Namibia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. This involvement began in the 1960s and reminds of North Korean state art, historian Tycho van der Hoog argues in  his research.
