Tycho van der Hoog interviewed by Voertaal about the links between Africa and North Korea

PhD student Tycho van der Hoog was interviewed by Voertaal about his research on the links between African countries and North Korea. 'It is important to realise that North Korea is not an isolated “hermit kingdom”', he says. 'The construction of monuments in Africa, to name one example, is a crucial way for North Korea to earn foreign currency and maintain its totalitarian regime.'
