While at the ASCL as a LeidenASA visiting fellow, her research focus will be on the legal profile of young persons as productive stakeholders for inclusive development in Nigeria. The work will examine Nigerian rules within the United Nations Sustainable Development  framework, in order to isolate principles on how duty bearers can empower young persons' capacity to escape statutory limitations of immaturity, without negating universal child’s right mandates on survival, protection, development and participation.

On 20 June 2019, Aderonke Adegbite gave a seminar on Children’s Education and Inclusive Development in Nigeria. Exploring Multicultural Preferences for Redistributing Economic Obligations through Law.
