Gessesse Dessie
Gessesse Dessie holds PhD in Physical Geography (also obtained MSc degree in Forest Survey and BSc degree in Forestry Management) and Assistant Professor in Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources in Ethiopia. His research interest include human environment interaction in the context of landscape dynamics, the role of high value crops e.g. Khat (Catha edulis) in shaping the social-ecological landscapes of Ethiopia and reorienting forestry and natural resources education in Ethiopia in line with education for sustainable development. He has held academic positions including department head, coordinator of research office and faculty dean. From 2011 he is coordinating post graduate climate change and development programs in Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources.
