Jean Bruno Ngouflo

Dr. Jean Bruno Ngouflo est Anthropologue et Enseignant-Chercheur à la Faculté des Lettres et Sciences Humaines de l`Université de Bangui. Il est né le 15 octobre 1977 à Bria-République Centrafricaine. Il est auteur d'une thèse de doctorat d'anthropologie portant sur ‘Apprentissages et transmission des savoir-faire dans une entreprise nationale de production d'électricité: Energie Centrafricaine (ENERCA)’ soutenue le 16 Décembre 2011 à Aix Marseille Université (France) sous la direction du Prof. Bruno Martinelli. Il a publié respectivement deux articles dans des ouvrages collectifs: Bruno Martinelli et Jean-Bruno Ngouflo, ‘L’apprentissage du risque en Afrique. Dans le cadre du projet ‘Being young in times of Duress in the Central African Republic’ un projet d’Unicef-Pays-Bas et le Centre d’Etudes Africaines de l’Université de Leiden, il réalise actuellement une recherche sur la question de la position de la jeunesse dans les conflits armés en République Centrafricaine.

Professor-Researcher and Head of Department of Anthropology at the University of Bangui, Central African Republic. Anthropologist specialized in Anthropology of the development and the social change, made his doctoral thesis on the "Apprenticeship and transmission of the know-how in a national company of production of electricity: the Central African Energy". Since 2016, he has been conducting research on the issue of "youth and armed conflict in the Central African Republic" in partnership with the African Studies Centre of Leiden University. As part of a Visiting Fellowship project, he is currently working on the ethnohistory of the Baram-Bakié revolt against French colonization in the East of Oubangui-Chari (Current Central African Republic).
