Konstantin Valkov
Konstantin Valkov has been program director at the biggest Bulgarian private radio station Darik Radio since 2006. He started working for the station at the age of 16 after being the youngest correspondent for the Bulgarian section of the BBC.
He is a regular contributor to Bulgarian National TV and to several online publications. He is editor-in-chief of egoist.bg and of of the biannual Darik-owned print publication Dolce Far Niente. He is writing for several foreign online publications such as Port Magazine (London) and Calvert Journal (London).
He graduated from 18 Lycee de la Langue Francaise in Sofia and received a Master’s Degree from Sofia University in the field of Geography. He received his second Master of Arts degree in 2015 from Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin. Konstantin Valkov attended many training programs abroad, organized by Deutsche Welle, Transitions Online, Reuters, European Journalism Centre, European Commission, Rencontres d’Arles, Poynter Institute, BBC, etc.
He is also a documentary photographer with several exhibitions and he runs the country’s archive of black-and-white portraits of prominent Bulgarians.
