Kwame Boafo-Arthur
I am a lecturer in the Department of Political Science Universtity of Ghana, Legon since 1985. I had my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Ghana and Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. I also hold a barrister at Law Degree and was called to the Ghana Bar in 1997.
In 1998 I was an African Senior Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles. During the first quarter of 1999 I was a research fellow at the Nordic African Institute in Uppsala, Sweden.
I have several book chapters and journal articles to my credit and have published extensively in the areas of political economy, EU-African Relations, democratization and Structural Adjustment, politics of Ghana and Ghana's Foreign Policy. I have published articles in `African Studies Review', `Journal of African Policy Studies', `African development', `Africa Insight', etc.
I will be working as a visiting fellow at the ASC from 16 Februari until 24 June 2001 on "Globalization and the Prospects for Democratic Consolidation in Ghana"
