Abeer Abazeed

Abeer Abazeed is assistant professor of political science at the Faculty of Economics and Political sciences in Cairo University. She obtained her PhD degree from the Institute of Security and Global Affairs, Leiden University (Netherlands). Her PhD research entitled ‘Is it one Nile? civic engagement and hydropolitics in the Eastern Nile Basin: the case of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia’; tackles the role of civil society in hydrpolitics applying the social network analysis (SNA). Abazeed earned her MA degree from the American University in Cairo (AUC) on the topic of aid harmonisation in African countries. Also, she got a diploma in public policy and administration from AUC.
