Johnson Olawale Bamigbose
Johnson Olawale Bamigbose works with Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria as a Researcher and Junior Academic. He is currently engaging the literature on border mis-governance as contributory to the widespread of insecurity in Africa. This area of research ignited his interest on African bureaucracy as a means to promote representativeness among social and ethnic groups making up the continent. His Master’s dissertation titled “Administrative Ethics and Civil Service Performance in Oyo State, Nigeria” detailed the necessity of adhering to ethical conducts as key to effective and efficient performance of civil servants at the subnational levels. He argued that subnational units of government should be given adequate attention especially the bureaucratic institution whose duties among others is the “formulation” and implementation of governmental polices. Through the field work experience, he designed schemata frame for evaluating the ethical consideration and conduct of the bureaucrats. These intellectual contributions are the bases of his research trajectory over the years.
His teaching areas are research methodology, public policy public administration/public management, development administration, governance, political behaviour and comparative political economy.
