Film about the workshop 'Governance and Connections in Africa's Contemporary Conflicts' (March 2015)
In March, the ASC organized the 2-day workshop 'Governance and Connections in Africa's Contemporary Conflicts' (19 March 2015) that explored the multi-dimensional connections between conflict zones ranging from the Sahel to the Horn of Africa and from Central Africa to the Great Lakes Region. On the second day, a public lecture 'Globalised Conflict Situations - Nigeria’s Boko Haram in Perspective' (20 March 2015) was given by Egosha E. Osaghae, Professor of Comparative Politics and Vice Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Okada, Nigeria.
Sjoerd Sijsma and Leonie Meester made a film about these events, for which Prof. Osaghae, Prof. Han van Dijk (ASC, one of the organizers of the workshop) and Mark Singleton (International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, The Hague) were interviewed.
