Rahmane Idrissa Visiting Professor at the Africa Institute (UAE)

Rahmane Idrissa has been appointed Visiting Professor at the Africa Institute (Sharjah, United Arab Emirates). The Africa Institute is part of the Global Studies University. Idrissa will be a Visiting Professor teaching several courses to MA students of International Relations for the Spring semester. 

 

The Africa Institute is a relatively new institute that received its accreditation mid-2024. Idrissa is teaching the first cohort, a class of ten students all from Africa (countries include Sudan, Ethiopia, Angola, Gambia, South Africa) who are all fully funded. 

 

Idrissa is also advising the institute in its teaching missions and assessment exercises. He is not a newcomer to the institute: in 2022 Idrissa was awarded the Ali A. Mazrui Senior Fellowship in Global African Studies at the Africa Institute.
