Elise Wolters

As of September 2026, Elise is a PhD Candidate at the ASCL. She holds an MSc in Global Environmental Politics and an MA in Conflict Studies. Previously, she has worked for NGOs in environmental peacebuilding and conflict monitoring. At the ASCL, she will research the role of the Kenya Defence Forces in climate adaptation and climate security, within the framework of the research project African Perspectives on Peace and Security.
