Luke Blomsma
Luke Blomsma is a PhD candidate at the African Studies Centre Leiden, researching the history of South African military cooperation and the development of South African non-alignment.
He holds a Master’s degree in Global History and International Relations from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Leiden University. His research interests include new military history and the political and social dynamics of Southern Africa. His previous BA and MA research has examined the role of religion during the Second Anglo-Boer War and the development of South African Special Forces during the Cold War.
